Winter Hunting

Riders:

​

  • Velvet peaked hat or skull with plain hat cover

  • Either:

    • Black/navy hunt coat with WHITE stock

    • Tweed jacket with COLOURED stock

    • Tweed jacket with shirt & tie

  • Buff / beige jods / breeches

  • Long black boots or short boots with gaiters

  • Long hair MUST be in a hair net

  • Gloves

  • Body protectors permitted – over or under jacket

Horses:

​

  • Manes MUST be plaited unless hogged

  • Native ponies / traditionals in a running plait

  • Tack should be plain - no fancy browbands!

  • Discrete shaped numnahs in black, brown, cream or white only

  • No square saddle cloths or brightly coloured numnahs permitted

  • Boots must be plain coloured, black, brown or white

  • Horses must be clean and well groomed at the start of the hunt

  • Red tail ribbon for kickers, green for newcomers
